Sacred Words
The Bible is considered the most widely-read book, as well as the number one bestseller in the world. In this AIB series “Sacred Words,” we look at why this text stands the test of time and continues to inspire. We explore its authorship, its multiple writing styles, its trustworthiness and its evolution over the millennia. We’ll look at the culture, political environment and geography in which it emerged. Our series includes in-depth interviews with theologians and Bible scholars, including Rabbi Tuly Weiscz, author of The Israel Bible, Steven J. Kraftchick, Professor in the Practice of New Testament Interpretation, and Susan E. Hylen, Associate Professor of New Testament, Candler School of Theology at Emory University.
