Interfaith
Perspective is a thirty minute talk show
that engages persons of faith in
conversations that explore themes
related to dialogue, understanding and
collaboration. It encourages
cooperation and positive interaction
between institutions and persons of
different faiths.
Interfaith
Perspectives celebrates the values and
expressions that most religions hold in
common.
Hosted by
Imam Plemon El Amin, one of the pioneers
of interfaith activism in Atlanta,
Interfaith
Perspectives provides a lens in which to
view interfaith activity on local,
national and international levels.
In each
episode Plemon El-Amin speaks one on one
to a person engaged in interfaith work
and explores organizations that are
promoting peace and interfaith harmony |

About the host... |

Imam Plemon
T. El-Amin served for over 24 years as
the Resident Imam of the Atlanta Masjid
of Al-Islam, one of the largest and most
progressive Mosques in the
United States.
He worked
closely as an aide and supporter of Imam
W. Deen Mohammed and his Ministry for 33
years.
Imam Plemon T. El-Amin is a founding
board member and former Chairperson of
the Faith Alliance of Metro Atlanta
(FAMA), the largest and most influential
interfaith organization in Atlanta.

Imam El-Amin is
the Director of World Pilgrims, an
interfaith effort to develop friendships
among faith leaders through travel and
exchange.
He has led
eight journeys of 30-36 different
Muslims, Christians and Jews to
Turkey,
Morocco, Spain, Greece,
Jordan, and Jerusalem and brought them
back home as friends committed to
interfaith work and relationships.
He is a 1972 graduate of
Harvard
University.
He
converted to the religion of Al-Islam in
1974 and became Imam under the tutelage
of Imam Warith Deen Mohammed and Imam
Ibrahim Pasha. He is
married to Cassandra Scott El-Amin and
is the father of two adult children,
Atty. Fatima Ziyad and Fareed Abdullah
El-Amin and grandfather of Haneef,
Sultan and Naja.
