Free home repairs for seniors are now
available from Senior Connections, a 38-year old
nonprofit working to keep seniors living
independently in their homes. Funds are available
for homeowners in DeKalb and Fulton Counties age 62
or older. (Certain restrictions and qualifications
guidelines apply.) Zip Codes included are 30030,
30031, 30032, 30034, 30310, 30311, 30314, 30315,
30316, 30317, 30318, and 30319. Areas with greatest
eligibility: East Lake, Belvedere, Towers,
Adamsville and Pittsburgh. Please note: Funds are

has offered a monthly workshop for
engaged couples at The Cathedral of St.
Philip, 2744 Peachtree Road, Atlanta,

Research has shown that couples
who participate in premarital education
have more realistic expectations, handle
conflict better, and have improved
communication skills. Workshops are open
to all denominations. The workshops are
from 9 am until 4 pm each month and each
couple receives a notarized certificate
which entitles them to a reduction in
the
Georgia
marriage license fee along with a free
one-year check up.
